Merchandise Planner

Key Responsibilities

1.Analyzing past sales figures/trends to forecast future sales trends.
2.Preparing merchandising plan and communicate to the buyer, who can then decide what products, styles, colors etc. to purchase from which suppliers at what Price.
3.Collaborate with the buying team in order to ensure that the products bought will help achieve the sales plan.
4.Review Sales and make recommendations to the buying team.
5.Prepare reports for territories, maintain healthy stocks and update them with the latest trends and buying.
6.Allocating Aging stock to stores throughout the season, to minimize aging stock and achieve sales or clearing the stock.
7.Once the products are distributed and put on sale, the retail merchandise planner can then monitor stock movement, consider further markdowns, inter-branch transfers and promotions.
8.Liaising with the store manager(s) and V.M team to ensure that the products are displayed properly for potential customers.
9.Preparing daily, weekly and monthly reports.
10.Participate in ad hoc business analysis, both pre-season and in-season, to drive business goals

Knowledge, Skills & Competencies Required

1.Bachelor's degree in Merchandising, Business Administration, or a related field.
2.Experience- Min 7 years in a retail organization with an international brand
3.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.
4.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
5.Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in data entry and analysis.
6.Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and work in a fast-paced environment.
