Credit Controller cum Accountant
Key responsibilities:
A. Credit Controller functions
1.Evaluating the creditworthiness of potential customers.
2.Checking consumer credit reports and approving or denying credit applications.
3.Setting up terms of credit for clients.
4.Establishing and monitoring a credit control system in collaboration with sales teams.
5.Following up on overdue invoices and payments.
6.Implementing company collections procedures and negotiating payment plans with customers.
7.Contacting customers to notify them of missed payments.
8.Maintaining positive customer relationships while ensuring timely payments.
9.Maintaining accurate loan records and conducting regular analysis of the credit-control system.
10.Reporting payment issues to management and generating financial statements detailing accounts receivable status.
11.Developing and implementing credit policies that ensure customers submit payments on time.
12.Looking for ways to improve debt collection processes123.
B. Accounting functions
1.Booking Suppliers Invoices and initiating payments.
2.Checking authenticity of expense claims / vouchers
3.Reconciling Suppliers balances with their statements
4.Assuring the timely deduction of Debit Notes/Claims to Suppliers
5.Checking of Accounts Receivables & reconciliations
6.Checking of Debtors Outstanding report and highlighting the unusual Customers
7.Managing Petty Cash and preparing daily cash reports and assuring accurate accounting treatment.
8.Preparation documents for Bank Guarantee. LCs, Bank payment and overall Treasury functions.
9.Bank entries and good knowledge of Bank Reconciliations.
10.Review and manage inter-company accounts reconciliation process.
11.Managing the books of accounts to the level of finalization
12.Maintenance of Fixed Asset Register.
13.Statutory Corporate Compliance of different group companies
14.Preparation VAT workings and submission of VAT returns on Quarterly basis. Preparing and keeping the details required by FTA.
15.Hands on knowledge on Corporate Tax.
16.Preparation of different audit schedules for the financial audit.
17.Preparation of required details for ICV audit.
18.Liaise with internal/external audit to provide the required details. Handle treasury/banking matters (if any) Initiate and involvement in any systems upgrade/implementation, process improvements and best practices to enhance overall accounting operations, work quality and efficiency.
19.Preparation of timely monthly management accounts and present to the Finance Manager. Coordinating different department managers to improve internal controls and procedure
20.Support in system / ERP implementation.
21.Any other ad-hoc duties as assigned by the FM.
Requirements
1.Minimum bachelor’s degree in accountancy. Preferred financial qualification (i.e., MBA Finance, ACCA, /CA-Intermediate) or any other relevant certification which is internationally recognized.
2.Minimum 5-8 years of relevant experience preferably from an international organization with a fast-paced work environment. Candidates with experience in Construction industry would be viewed favorably.
3.Possess solid hands-on experience in preparing financial/management reports with multiple functional currency and significant intercompany transactions.
4.Proficiency with Microsoft office especially in Microsoft Excel
5.Experience in ERP/consolidation systems such as Sage50(preferred), Odoo.
6.Eye for details with an analytical mindset
7.Enjoy working in a fast-paced and versatile environment.
